5 Friday Faves: Week of 8/22

Did Summer seriously FLY by or what? We’re already over here talking about NEXT Summer’s vacations, getting back into the routine of school, starting all of our Fall activities, and getting ready to launch the newest cuteheads collection! I am really, really, REALLY (did I mention really?) excited for the newest FW16 collection, the ‘Fair & Wild’ Collection, featuring silhouettes we’ve never done before. I’ve been working hard to make it perfect, and it’s going to launch in just a few weeks. In case you’d like to be the first to know when it launches, sign up for emails at cuteheads.com & make sure you’re following on instagram.

Aside from working on the new collection, I’ve been home a lot wit the girls, who have both been under the weather. They’re finally both 100% well, and I’m sure as soon as I publish this, one of them will already be sick again. Ain’t that the way it goes?

Things have been busy on the blog too! Make sure to get caught up on my favorite gift for new moms, 17 baby must haves you might not know about, and my tiny intern (heh) Tova’s 6 month photos!

Now onto my 5 Friday Faves…

1. The Cosette Dress from the new ‘Fair & Wild’ Collection. Cold shoulder dresses and tops are all the rage right now, so I knew it was something I wanted to incorporate into cuteheads’ new line. I love that we did it with this sweet tan gingham fabric; it mixes the trendy with the classic, which I love for kids.

2. The Tallulah Dress from the new ‘Fair & Wild Collection. If you follow me on Insta, then you saw that Naomi came into my office, demanding to try this dress on, and I don’t blame her. it’s got a 3 quarter-length sleeve and a slight puff at the shoulder. It’s quite honestly the perfect shade of peach. It doesn’t get cuter than this.

3. Woodlands Market Street Blogger Crawl. I fully intend to do a recap of this awesome event, put on by Mad Meg Creative Services, but that’s a post for next week! I had the best time chatting with everyone, and even though it was the rainiest day, tons of people came out. I don’t think I ever sat down or stopped talking. I had some really fun and fascinating conversations, and of course, I LOVED hosting the Elaine Turner stop! I also loved catching up with so many of my favorite local bloggers and sipping mai tais with them at the after-party.

4. Naomi’s OOTD pictures. You guys, this child does not like to take pictures. I actually think she’s just so stubborn that she doesn’t really like to do anything I want her to do, which is why I don’t take many pictures of her anymore. I try to respect her wishes, which means people probably think my 2 year old has disappeared. That said, for some reason, she asks me every morning to take a picture of her outfit, and she’ll say to me, “I look really cute!” Yes you do, Naomi. Yes you do. I’ve been posting them on Insta Instant, in case you want to see what she picked out every day. And side note: that is her medal from soccer like 2 seasons ago. She’s obsessed with the Olympics and has been wearing it around the house!

5. We took the kids to their first Astros game! I don’t know why we waited so long. Maybe we were scared it would be a total disaster. But it wasn’t, it was so much fun. Naomi behaved so well, and loved every minute. Tova was perfect too, and even though I spent a good bulk of the game walking around with her in the Ergo, it was a really fun family activity.

Have an awesome weekend. xo

  1. Your daughter is adorable! Taking kids to a baseball game is a lot of fun. We are KC Royals fan here and my daughter keeps talking about going back to another game since we went months ago. She had a blast!

  2. It look like you have had a beautiful week! I was absolutely mesmerised by the dress at #1 – it is so beautiful and classic, I am in love with it.

  3. Oh my goodness, that sweet little dress though!! We just announced our pregnancy yesterday, and I’m already drooling over the cute baby clothes! Love all of your pictures, and your blog!!

  4. I love when events have something memorable for their guests. It makes it easier to share your experience with your audience.
