1. Choose the perfect pumpkin patch outfit.

2. Pack all the essentials: snacks, sweater, camera, mask!

Make sure your bag is packed with all the essentials: their favorite snacks, a little sweater in case it gets chilly, water, sunscreen and bug spray, and of course, your camera. Whether you’re shooting with a real camera or your phone, you’re going to want to remember these special moments. And of course, don’t forget your masks!

3. Let your child pick the pumpkin.

It can be tempting to help them choose the perfect pumpkin, but give them some ownership over choosing the one they want. They’ll feel so proud displaying the pumpkins they selected on your porch.

4. Go at non-peak times.

If your kids have flexible schedules with virtual school or a day off, why not explore the patch on a weekday, or on a weekday evening after school? By skipping Saturday and Sunday, you’ll likely have lots more space to roam around and take all the pics you want.
