Unless this is your first time here at The Cuteness, then you probably know a lot of my time over the last few months has been dedicated to founding and organizing Mamas+ Makers Market, a brand new curated pop-up shop in Houston featuring some of the top small businesses. My co-founder Beth and I have been working tirelessly to bring this market to life, and it’s FINALLY HERE!
Today I’m going to highlight 3 of my top picks for vendors you can’t miss at this week’s event (and yes, you can find them online too, in case you can’t hop on a plane and fly down to Houston this weekend). All three are cool and unique and will add to the fun and festive vibe we’re creating ft this new event.
My Top 3 Vendor Picks at Mamas + Makers Market
1. from prosecco to plaid. fptp founder Julie is truly a Jill of All Trades. She write, she designs and she blogs, bringing her creative talents and unique voice to all the areas of her business. Her book, Oops! An Insider’s Guide to Dating, Sex and Relationships in Your 20’s, features tales of the singles scene as a twenty-something living in NYC, and if you’ve ever been single, you’ll totally relate. Her line of greeting cards is an extension of her blog, and each is gorgeously handmade. Julie will be on hand to make sure you’re set for paper and to sign copies of her popular book for shoppers.
2. Greetings from Texas. Another incredible author, blogger and all-around boss lady is Megan Silianoff, the writer behind the blog Greetings from Texas, author of 99 Problems but a Baby Ain’t One/ From J to Z: The Sean Carter Story, and founder of Mad Meg Creative Services. Phew. You tired just thinking about all of that? She’s not. She’s got writing and creating pulsing through her veins, and she’s got endless energy. Not only does she do all of that, but she’s the mama of the sweetest little one. She’s going to be hanging at the market, selling and signing her two incredible books. And if you want to read more about her, check it this interview on the blog, where she shares the secrets of getting a book published.
3. Teddy and Bear Prints. Teddy and Bear makes the cutest graphic tees for little ones. And trust me, I’ve seen a LOT of graphic tees in my day (I did a whole roundup of some of my faves, and these should most definitely be on there!). I met the co-founders of Teddy and Bear at another market, and knew they had to be a part of Mamas + Makers. Their designs are fun and modern, and they’re perfectly on trend for what’s in in kids fashion. You don’t want to miss them!
This is so awesome!! Will you be doing another one?
