Six Ways to Display Your Child’s Special Occasion Dress After She’s Done Wearing It

Last week, we talked about 10 tips for throwing the perfect first birthday party. One of the elements is, of course, the perfect outfit. I know I spent quite some time thinking about what my daughter was going to wear to hers. So you buy this beautiful outfit or dress… then what? Shove it in a box somewhere? Leave it hanging in her closet, because it’s too sad to put it away? Since we started making custom party dresses for kids, we’ve had many customers tell us that they’ve displayed their child’s dress. This is not only a HUGE compliment, but a great idea. The beautiful mint & pink image above is from my friend Jennifer, of Fruitsnacks and Flannel, who I worked with originally to design the dress that launched our custom service. It’s been an incredible journey, designing special occasion dresses for moms and their precious girls, and it makes me so happy that they cherish the gowns as much as I cherished making them. Below are a few more examples of ways you can display your child’s party dress after the party. Enjoy!

  1. I love this post. These are all adorable, I especially love the last one. I did something similar – framed my daughter’s dress from our wedding, which she wore when she was 4 months old: http://wp.me/p5gtyj-6L

Thanks for the post – visiting you from mom blog party 🙂

  2. What great ideas! We bought so many special dresses that they only wear once or twice. Dress-up is a great idea. Thanks for linking up at the Bloggers Brags party, I pinned your post to our group board.
