The Week in Review

It’s been another insane week at cuteheads HQ. I remember the holidays being busy, but this is pretty unusual, even for me. It’s funny how you get used to a certain pace  of life though, and I’m sure I’ll be bored come January when everything slows down. Until then, better just to enjoy the ride!

Black Friday was absolutely crazy. This was by far the best year ever for cuteheads, which I’m so thankful for, and the holiday weekend was certainly my best weekend ever, sales-wise. Shown here are some of the Dalia Dresses & Everly Dresses we’ve pre-cut to get sewn and shipped to new homes. We had lots of great sales going on, and in case you’re not in the know, I ran an email-only one hour 40% off the entire site “Happy Hour” sale on Friday afternoon, and I never expected people to respond like they did. And PS, if you don’t want to miss more amazing deals like that, sign up to receive emails at cuteheads.com 😜. These are maybe a TENTH of the orders we’ll be filling. We’re getting everything cut and ready to ship well before Christmas, but it’s a liiiittle hectic right now.

Looking at everyone’s Christmas pictures, I almost forgot Chanukah starts in 3 days! I busted out th menorahs and the dreidels to prepare our house for the fun. Now all we need is some latkes, and we’ll be set.

This past weekend, we threw our daughter her 2nd birthday party! It was unicorn themed, and Miss J’s Sugar Cookies knocked it out of the park with these little guys. More pics from that day to come.

Houston bloggers gathered to celebrate the launch of my friend David Peck’s new line, Miles David Atelier. Both small business owners in a city not known for textiles and manufacturing, David and I have been friends for years and have commiserated over the challenges of running a clothing business here. He is insanely talented, and his new collection is sparkly, edgy and sophisticated. Unfortunately, not maternity. I’ll be back in February to shop.

And lastly, but certainly most important, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet, darling girl, who I look at every day and can’t believe is mine. I wrote her an open letter yesterday, in case you missed it.

Have a great weekend!

  1. How cute is that little lady with her princess four wheeler?!?! Love it! My little girl has one too and she has gotten a lot of use out of it. It sounds like you were busy and I hope it slows down a little for you to enjoy all the goodness this holiday season.

  5. A Unicorn theme for a birthday party sounds awesome! I have to agree about the pace of everything right now – it is absolutely insane! I used to despise January (after Christmas blues and all) but now I think I am looking forward to it, so we can sit back and relax a bit!

I also can totally relate to this season being so fast … I don’t know where the time has gone, and we don’t even have our tree yet!
    Happy Holidays 🙂

  13. Are you serious? Those Unicorn cookies are too much – I can’t handle the cuteness. And, I also love that grey dress that you featured in this post – I would definitely wear that…so pretty.
