Happy Monday, hope you had a wonderful Easter! We spent the day with my husband’s family and extended family, who were in town for the weekend. After Sunday brunch and naps for the kids, we met up with friends at the park to enjoy the most incredible weather. We don’t get too many days like that! Gotta enjoy it.
Now that Tova’s sleeping a little better, things feel slightly more manageable, and I find myself getting back into the swing of things. This coming weekend, we’re having a baby naming for Tova, which is a Jewish ceremony during which your child gets his or her Hebrew name. It’s a really special day, and we’re going to celebrate it with all of our family and friends. Because of it, I’ve actually been doing a little shopping for the first time since baby. It’s been a little scary! But I’ve done some shopping for the girls too, for my office, I’ve gotten to catch up on my DVR… See, things are going slightly back to normal! It feels good.
Here are some of the the things I’m loving lately:
Nellystella.
I adore this kid’s brand. I seriously want every dress not only for my kids, but for myself. I guess I’m drawn to anything wit bright colors and cool trim (love the tassels on that first one!).
OPI Let’s Be Friends.
I’ve found it… the absolute perfect matte pink! It’s so hard finding the perfect pink polish for Spring. I never really jumped on the Fiji bandwagon, and Ballet Slippers is too sheer for my liking. Let’s Be Friends is from their Hello Kitty collection and it’s SO GOOD. It’s my go to now.
BAN.DO ‘BACK ME UP’ IPHONE 5, 5S, 6 & 6 PLUS CHARGER
I purchased this recently because my phone was constantly dying on me from overuse. No bueno. It has been saving me when I’m not in my car and can’t get to a wall charger! It comes in other great prints, but I snagged this one and it comes everywhere with me now.
Vinyl on HBO.
This must have really been a cool time to be alive. Crazy and chaotic, but cool. Back when bands were really getting discovered on street corners, in clubs and at bar mitzvahs. I look forward to this show every week, and usually watch it the next day during one of Tova’s many feeding sessions. The music is crazy good, and they do a lot of cool covers of popular songs from that time period. Trey Songz’ cover of David Bowie’s “Life on Mars?” has pretty much been on repeat since last weeks episode. Go download it now, it’s amazing. Who knew he had those pipes?!
Warmer temps.
I know it’s still snowing elsewhere, but in Texas, we’re officially done with cold weather! This is the sweet spot, after the cold, before the suffocating heat… NOT looking forward to that. But we’ve been spending plenty of time outside and it’s been incredible. No better way for a 2 year old to burn off all that energy! Naomi plays soccer with a bunch of her little friends on a Saturday mornings, and it’s the cutest thing. Of course it’s only 30 minutes and it takes them about 25 to actually want to start playing, but hey. At least they’re running around.
Snap Kitchen.
I’ve been trying to eat a little healthier lately, and Snap Kitchen, which is a local grab-and-go restaurant, has been helping me do that’s. They’re in other cities too now, so check if there’s one near you. I’m just now starting to work out again, so hopefully the combination of eating their gluten-free, dairy-free, carb-conscious, but NOT taste-free meals (they’re really good!) will help me get back into all of my jeans (I hope).
What are you loving lately?
I can definitely relate to occasionally wanting cute baby dresses to be made in my size, too! ha!
I need to look into Vinyl, I have heard amazing things about that show!! Sounds like your Easter was filled with family!
I love the dresses. Can’t wait til my little girl is born in the beginning of May!
Hi Esther! I am currently loving my new Coffee + Barre mug – like right now! Also I am obssessed with subscription boxes. My latest faves are Wantable (for athleisure clothing!) and I am excited about trying Blue Apron for busy weeks…even dietitians need help 😉 Have a great week! Loved this post! -Wendie
I wish we had a snap kitchen close! I have Essie’s ballet slippers on right now and hate that I need three coats to prevent streaks. Checking out that new one!
I’m so glad you did the leg work for all of us readers and found the perfect matte pink nail polish!! I’m treating myself to a manicure this week and will definitely seek out that OPI color. I love the picture of your little one playing soccer – my 14-month-old loves kicking the ball around already, which is great because I was a soccer player : )
I have a baby boy and even some of his clothes I wish I could find in my size! I’ll have to try that nail polish. I haven’t painted my nails since before my son was born.
I’m a nervous biter so I try to keep them manicured. It’s so much harder now with two kids!

“let’s be friends” is one of my favorite polishes right now! Thank you for sharing that kids brand, I’ll be checking them out:)

Sounds like some pretty good picks to me 🙂 I can’t wait until we start getting some nice weather. My kids are itching to get outside 🙂

Ok, that Snap store, needs to come to my neck of the woods like yesterday! Also, I love that portable charger! I have one but it is just plain and black off Groupon haha. Great picks girl!
