With Valentine’s Day just around the corner — wasn’t it JUST Christmas?! — I thought I’d share some little girl’s Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration. Because shouldn’t you celebrate ALL the people you love on Valentine’s Day?
In all honesty, I’m not much of a Valentine’s Day person. My husband and I don’t do gifts, and he knows better than to get my any kind of chocolate-covered fruit (my most hated flavor combo). The last time we went out on Valentine’s Day, we were disappointed to find a prix fixe menu at one of our otherwise-favorite restaurants, and the place was so crowded that the waiter spilled a bowl of mussels down my shirt.
Is there a better way to spend Valentine’s Day than covered in fish smell?
I think yes!
Instead of going out, we use Valentine’s Day as a time for us to make a special meal together. I documented our menu a few years ago, and honestly, it hasn’t changed much!
Now that I’m a mom, I try to make Valentine’s Day special for my girls. I don’t go overboard with Valentine’s Day baskets (because yes, that’s a thing now), but I do get them little treats and books to make them feel extra loved.
And of course… a special dress!
A little girl’s Valentine’s Day outfit is a great way to make your tiniest valentine feel beautiful, and I promise, she’ll want to wear these every single day, even after Valentine’s Day is long over.
