Cool Mom Jewelry You’ll Actually Want to Rock

When I think about mom jewelry, my mind immediately goes to cheesy pendants that declare us “#1 mom” and quite frankly, I’m not all that jazzed to wear something like that. I think we all know that being a mom is one of the best, most rewarding jobs in the entire world, but it’s also one of the hardest. Why shouldn’t we get to wear cool mom jewelry that’s personalized just for us and for our kids, but is also stylish, beautiful and understated? Not everyone wants to wear sentimental jewelry (I don’t), and I know many of us would prefer something a little more non-traditional. Enter Zadok Jewelers.

My recent collab with Golden Thread, who beautifully monogrammed both my girls’ initials on a gold heart pendant got me thinking about mom jewelry. There’s a lot of negative talk out there about push presents, and I get that. It’s not for everyone. But what about a pretty, dainty necklace that signifies one of the most important days of your life: the birth of your child? Or what about a gorgeous ring stack, a ring for each child you have? Pieces like this stand alone as pretty jewelry, so if you don’t want to advertise that you’re a mom, you don’t have to. But they can be symbolic and meaningful, reminding you of your sweet little ones every time you look at your hand, wrist, or neck.

I was so excited to get together with a few of my favorite local bloggers — who also happen to be amazing moms — to preview some of the beautiful collections of mom jewelry available at Zadok Jewelers. These ladies range from brand new mom, to twin mom, to mom of a toddler, and all of our experiences have been completely different, yet have so much in common. The day included Monica from Classy & Fabulous, Issa from We Wear Things, and Jenny Weber from Tidbits.

We were lucky enough to be inside one of the beautiful custom homes built by On Point Custom Homes. It provided the most amazing light so the jewelry really shined. We also had delicious cookies and cake balls from Three Brothers Bakery, and an incredible fruit and cheese spread from The Foodie Chef. Zadoks was kind enough to bring three of their most popular collections of personalized jewelry for us to play dress up in, and we took full advantage. I admit, I didn’t want to take off my stack of rings from My Story. It was breathtaking! The story behind My Story is pretty special. Inspired by the adoption of her daughter, jewelry designer Jackie Cohen created a line of unique birthstone bands that can be worn by themselves or stacked.

I also really loved the collection from Heather B. Moore, which makes mixing, matching and layering easy. You choose your chain, and then choose the pendants that best represent your family. You can even get some of the pieces engraved with your kids’ names. I chose a chest-length chain and pendants with the letters “n” and “t,” symbolizing Naomi and Tova. I love that you can wear this piece every single day, casual or dressy. It’s subtle, but so special. And they even carry other cool pendants like Texas shapes so you can really personalize your set. This is mom jewelry at its finest.

Roberto Coin is another super popular line carried at Zadoks that allows you to mix and match pendants. I loved how Monica layered three pendants to create her son’s initials.

I was excited to work with Emerson Rose boutique, who provided my outfits for this shoot. I fell in love with their cool, boho vibe, and knew it would be perfect for this collab. I’m always on the look out for clothes that are effortless but still help you look put together, and I’d say Emerson Rose specializes in this. The moto pants I’m wearing fit like a glove, and come in like 5 colors. I’m almost embarrassed to say how often I’ve been wearing them. All the pieces you see here (except the lace-up flats and the awesome fringe booties) can be found at Emerson Rose.

  1. Oh my gosh, these pieces are amazing! I have to have the stacked birthstone bands. I love the look of stacked bands and the fact that they can be my kids’ birthstones is genius! Love it!

  2. My husband is a jewelry snob, he said these looked really nice. High compliments if he would purchase these since I get most of my jewelry from him.

  3. I love wearing jewelry that symbolizes my children, but definitely like it to be understated. Those rings are gorgeous, and I would love to have them with my children’s birthstones. Such a cool idea! The necklaces are beautiful too. Love the initials! Looks like you all had such a fun day!

  4. Love this!! I have two girls and got a ring for each of their births as a “push present”! I got a gold band for my first and a gold/diamond band for my second. I love the idea of the birthstone and may have to use that if there is a third! My plan is to pass the rings on to each of my girls when they are older.
