I knew we wanted our first daughter to sleep in her crib from an early age, but that created some problems, mostly that it forced me to get completely out of bed every single time she needed to eat. It was hard for both of us to go back to bed after that. But I was so stubborn; I HAD to have her in that crib. I decided to do things a little differently this time.
Enter the HALO Bassinest LUXE and SwaddleSure.
This bassinet is exactly what I was missing the first time around. I was worried about letting my first daughter sleep in devices that were on a slant, concerned that she’d never be comfortable sleeping on her back. The HALO Bassinest gives me a comfy, flat and safe space near my bed for rough middle-of-the-night feedings. We actually have the LUXE Plus, which is very similar to the Luxe, except that the fabric is different and doesn’t come with the additional mattress pad and fitted sheet.
One of the best things about this bassinet is the 360 degree swivel: it glides easily and in every direction. You can move it to fit whatever space you have and easily pull it close to you to reach for baby.
I also love that it has sound and vibration features, if those things help your baby sleep. They work for our Tova.
Tova also loves to be swaddled when she sleeps, and the HALO SwaddleSure is a great option for swaddling. It’s velcro — a must-have — so her little arms can’t break free and wake her up, and it provides plenty of leg room so she doesn’t feel too snug.
Even our dog Winnie thinks the Bassinest is pretty great.

That bassinet looks great! I had one when my son was born, and it was great to keep next to my bed. This one looks much nicer and cozier than the one I had. Maybe I will give this one a try the next time around.

I would have loved a bassinet like this when my babies were little! We used a playpen to keep them close by, but I had to reach way down to pick them up everytime, and of course, moving it around was a pain. This bassinet looks SO much more convenient and much easier on my back!
I would have loved having this bassinet when my kids were that age! The crib was in our room…but it still seemed so far away. 😉 I love yoru daughter’s name, too – very close to my daughter’s name (Nova). 🙂

This looks pretty awesome. I never really had issues with my newborns and sleep. I co-slept with most of hem though which I credit for most of my good newborn sleepers. I would love to try this with my newest due this summer. It looks great.

The HALO Bassinet looks like a great new mom product! This would make a great baby shower for my cousin who is about to have baby #2! I’ve no doubt she would love this especially since she has a toddler running around too!

I co-slept with my kids which helped me sleep through the night. Thankfully they sleep in the own beds now.
