Being a small business owner can be lonely and isolating. Some days, I don’t leave my desk at all except to grab food, and some days, not even for that. There is really something to collaboration, brainstorming, and working with other local business owners to accomplish your goals, but without knowing where to find those people, it can be tough to do. With that in mind, I’ve teamed up with Megan from Greetings from Texas and Ashley from Sugar & Cloth to bring you Creative Collective Houston, a group whose goal is to connect and elevate Houston’s creative small businesses.

We felt there was no local group that met these needs and serves this purpose, and so Creative Collective Houston was born.

If you:
1. Own/work for a business (must be registered in the state of Texas)
2. Are looking to collaborate and trade products & services with other business owners
3. Are looking for creative & new ways to build & elevate your (or your client’s) business while helping others build theirs…

Then this group is for you. That includes bloggers, writers, photographers, studio owners (or any space you think would be cool for photoshoots), makeup artists, videographers, fashion designers, PR agencies who manage creative clients… the list goes on, and the possibilities are endless. If you consider yourself a creative, then you belong here.

What you will NOT find from this group: more events and meetings to add to your calendar. This group is not primarily a networking group and we will not be holding any regular events, but we hope you do get to network and meet other creative people as a result of it. You also won’t find more social media; we only use hashtag #creativecollectiveHTX when posting about the group.
