Steller, for When Instagram Isn’t Enough to Tell Your Story

On Naomi: Old Navy vest // Cotton On Kids tee // Posh Plum beanie

Instagram is pretty awesome, I think we can all agree with that. But have you ever had a collection of images that tell a story, which you’d love to share on IG, but don’t want to have to post one image after another, clogging up everyone’s feed? Enter the new app, Steller.

I was introduced to this new service through other small business owners in the #shopsmall community; I was hesitant to sign up because I’m resistant to adding new apps and services. I’m pretty overloaded as it is, and can’t handle yet another platform I have to maintain and update. But then I actually tried it.

It’s prettyyyy cool.

One of the things I love about it is that it allows you to post as many images as you want to a single story, with words and quotations throughout. Produce a cohesive message and communicate it through a collection of curated images, instead of choosing just one.

I also love it from a brand perspective. I’ve shared a personal Steller story here of some pics I took of my daughter this week, but I’ve also used it to create look books and photo galleries of styled shoots. All you have to do, after you’ve created the gallery, is embed it in the HTML with code provided on each story. VOILA! A whole new way to share your beautiful images.

Of course, as I was afraid of, it IS another app I have to update. But overall, I’m enjoying the growing community there as well as the luxury of not having to choose just one image.

Will you be joining Steller? If you do, let’s connect! I’m @cuteheadskids.

  1. This is the first I’ve heard of this. I love posting photos as much as I love taking them so I will definitely look to download this one.

  2. That was freaking awesome! I could’ve used something like this when we were down in Peru. I had a bunch of images from a dinner we went to, but I didn’t want to put like 10 pics up in a row. I’m definitely checking out this app!

  3. Dang! I’ve never heard of this! There are so many social media sites to keep up with these days! I try my best to stay up to date! Thanks for sharing
